Beautician Angela, shocked by the Bhatbhateni fire, now plans to burn down the beauty parlor.

Kathmandu. Angela Dhamala, who has been running a beauty business in Birtamod, Jhapa, has encouraged criminal activities. She, even though she is a beautician herself, has spoken against the interests of beauticians.

Through the social media platform TikTok, she has called for burning down other people's beauty parlors, just like the burning down of Bhatbhateni Supermarket during the Gen G movement. She has mentioned that the beauty parlor she is trying to destroy and its operator have 9/10 branches, without naming them.

She has urged beauticians to participate in the act of burning down the beauty parlors at the very beginning if there is another movement in Nepal.

We contacted her on the phone to get her opinion on this matter. During that time, she called the video posted on TikTok natural. She argues that she is not at fault since she did not name anyone in the video.

She said that she posted the video on TikTok as a retaliation to the fact that she is in a small beauty business, but a ‘related beautician’ posted videos that affected her. However, the source says that she intended that no large parlors providing quality services at affordable prices should open in her area.

If she had been wronged, she would have sought legal redress. However, her statement that the beauty parlor should be burned down instead of taking that path clearly indicates that she is suffering from jealousy and hatred.

She also said that she is considering legal action. However, she believes that her attempt to take the law into her own hands is right. This is her shortcoming.

Similarly, the statement that the beauty parlor should be burned down just like the Bhatbhateni supermarket cannot be ruled out, as she herself may be involved in the act of burning the Bhatbhateni. Because she seemed happier that the Bhatbhateni was burned down rather than that it created business and employment.

It is worth mentioning that during the Gen G movement, the outlet of Bhatbhateni in Birtamod was also destroyed by arson.

In addition, the argument that beauty parlors should be burned and the call for collective participation in it are direct encouragements to criminal acts. In such a situation, Police Inspector Prabin Shrestha of the District Police Office, Jhapa, said that there is a clear basis for action against him.

Bhagwati Khadka, the founding president of the Nepal Beauticians Association (Trade), said that she had also watched the video of beautician Dhamala and said that it was ‘extremely wrong.’

Khadka said, ‘It is absolutely wrong for a beautician to say that she will burn the parlor of another beautician who does the same business. She has forgotten her minimum professional dignity and ruined her own image.’

She said that she is currently outside the Kathmandu Valley and will discuss the matter further and take the necessary decision after returning.

What did Dhamala say?

The beauty parlor of the promising beautician who spread false propaganda that Gen G had opened 9/10 branches should have been burned down like a fire. She has many branches of her beauty parlor, and I had heard that she is very advanced in the political field. I have heard about her, but I have not met her or known her. Where was she hiding at that time? I had heard that she is also a member of the party. But, if there is a movement like this again, then all of us beautician sisters should go to the beautician sister with a PhD in the first place!
