New Delhi: Currently, three films are entertaining the audience in theatres. These include Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar 2, Vijay Deverakonda's Kingdom and Siddhant Chaturvedi's Dhadak 2.
These three films are in a tough competition at the box office, with South cinema's Kingdom winning the day. Vijay Deverakonda's film Kingdom surpassed these two Bollywood films in terms of earnings on Saturday. Kingdom was released in theaters worldwide on July 31. Vijay Deverakonda's action thriller has received positive responses from the Hindi film audience, which has helped the film make a mark at the domestic box office. According to a report by Shaknilk, on the third day of its release, Kingdom has earned around Rs 8 crore, which is more than the Saturday business of Son of Sardaar 2 and Dhadak 2.
Saturday earnings
Kingdom - Rs 8 crore
Son of Sardaar 2 - Rs 7.50 crore
Dhadak 2 - Rs 3.75 crore
Looking at this graph, it is clear that the action of South cinema has overshadowed the romance and comedy of Bollywood. Vijay Deverakonda's Kingdom is expected to do the same on Sunday.
So far, Kingdom's total collection at the Indian box office has reached Rs 33.50 crore. It is estimated that Kingdom's total collection by Sunday may reach close to Rs 45 crore.
