Announcement of ‘Indreni Dohori Tara 2082’: Winner to be honored with Rs 111,000

 

Kathmandu. ‘Indreni Dohori Tara 2082’ is being organized with the aim of exposing new talents in folk music in the Nepali folk dohori sector. The program was announced today through a press conference organized at the Indreni Cultural Development Center, Buddhanagar, Kathmandu. The program will be held on Ashad 27 and 28 at the Indreni Cultural Development Center, Buddhanagar, organized by the Sushma Thakuri Foundation. The organizer has said that the competition is being conducted with the aim of introducing talents dedicated to dohori music at the national and international levels. Through this program, it is expected to honor Nepali folk music and encourage talents from all over the country with the aim of honoring artists who have made special contributions to the field of folk dohori.


In this competition, 64 groups selected from all over the country will compete. This dohori competition based on group singing will select the best singers and provide them with the opportunity to make a long-term contribution to the field of folk music. The winning group of the competition will receive a cash prize of Rs 1,11,111, a trophy, a medal and a certificate. The runner-up will receive Rs 55,555. In addition, separate honors and awards will be given to the best singer/singer, disciplined talent, best costume, and new emerging artist.


Renowned folk singers, creators and musical personalities will play the role of the chief judges in the program.
