Trilateral clash in NRNA America, Kharel, Sah for president, and Anup Khanal takes over as Adhikari general secretary

The voting process for selecting the new leadership of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) USA began on Sunday. About 13,000 members of the association will vote for their preferred candidates through ballots sent via email and mobile. This time, there will be a three-way competition between Bhanu Kharel, Satendra Sah, and Ramhari Adhikari for the post of president. All three candidates were intensifying the final phase of activities to woo voters before the election. Solo singing competition at Maharishi College, Diksha Upreti of Occidental School wins first




Kathmandu, June 20. Diksha Upreti has won first place in the solo singing competition organized by the Private and Residential Schools Organization Nepal (PABSON) Kathmandu Metropolitan City. 

Upreti, a student of Occidental School Anamnagar, has won first place in the solo singing competition organized by PABSON Kathmandu Metropolitan City at Maharishi College Gongabu today. 

Surya Dangol, a student of Manaslu Public School, Nayabazaar, came second in the competition, and Saleen Gurung, a student of Bodhisattva School, Dallu, came third. Similarly, Surbhi Poudel, a student of Babylon School, Chagala, and Sanbi Bista, a student of Euro School, Chhauni, have secured the second place. 

PABSON Kathmandu Metropolitan City has organized the solo singing competition to advance the extracurricular activities of students along with their academic activities, informed Gagan Singh Air, Chairman of PABSON Kathmandu Metropolitan City. 


At the program, Maharishi College President Prakash Chandra Dawadi mentioned that private schools have made an important contribution to the development of Nepal's education sector. He said that coordination between teachers, parents and students is necessary for the development of the education sector. 

PABSON Nagarjuna Municipality President Basudev Ghimire, Central Secretary of Higher Secondary Schools Association (HISAN) Rajendra Adhikari, Campus Chief of Maharishi College Ramesh Chandra Adhikari, Secretary of PABSON Kathmandu Metropolitan City RC Bhatta, Joint Secretary of PABSON Metropolitan City Nirmal Poudel and others said that PABSON has been conducting various additional programs besides education to enhance the capacity of students. 


In the competition, in which 40 schools within Kathmandu Metropolitan City participated, the students who secured first, second, third and fourth positions were honored with medals, trophies and certificates. National singer Kunti Moktan and Sangita Pradhan Rana were the judges of the competition.
