The voting process for selecting the new leadership of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) USA began on Sunday. About 13,000 members of the association will vote for their preferred candidates through ballots sent via email and mobile. This time, there will be a three-way competition between Bhanu Kharel, Satendra Sah, and Ramhari Adhikari for the post of president. Nepal Communist Party (NCP) General Secretary Netra Vikram Chand Targets Royalists, Says Nepali People Have No Need for Lords

NCP General Secretary Netra Vikram Chand, while addressing a mass rally organized by the Socialist Front in Kathmandu on Friday in support of the republic, remarked that the Nepali people have no need for "lords." He accused certain elements of attempting to overturn the republic.

Chand stated that the people had already defeated feudal bonds, feudal mentality, and feudal-autocratic dominance to establish the republic, challenging those who seek to reverse the system.

"These elements, encouraged by foreign forces, are conspiring against the republic through the remnants of feudal forces that were defeated and buried by the people's power. We do not need lords. We do not need feudal overlords," he said.

He acknowledged that while not all aspirations of the citizens have been fulfilled, the people still take pride in the republic. Chand further accused defeated elements, who lost power due to the people's movement, of conspiring against the republic with foreign instigation.
