Nissan Motor India Announces New Seven-Seater B-MPV for Its Production Lineup

Nissan Motor India has announced the addition of a new seven-seater B-MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle) to its production lineup. During the ‘Global Product Showcase Event’ held in Yokohama, Japan, Nissan unveiled two new models specifically targeted for the Indian market.


The company plans to modify its products to meet the growing demands of Indian customers, introducing new vehicles in the B-MPV, C-SUV (Compact Sports Utility Vehicle), and B-SUV (Sub-Compact SUV) segments. Pioneer Moto Corp, Nissan’s official distributor for Nepal, has also announced plans to bring these models to the Nepalese market.



First Global Unveiling Under Nissan’s ‘Product Offensive’ Strategy

This marks the first global unveiling of Nissan’s new seven-seater B-MPV under its ‘Planned Product-Offensive’ strategy. The vehicle will be introduced as a new addition to Nissan’s India-based production line and is set to be launched in FY2025. Following this, the previously announced five-seater C-SUV will hit the market in early 2026.


Nissan has recently released two new teasers, confirming the development timeline of these vehicles. The company aims to introduce four new products across the B/C-SUV and D-SUV segments.


Design & Features of the New Models

- The new C-SUV draws inspiration from the iconic Nissan Patrol, offering reliability, premium craftsmanship, and cutting-edge technology.

- The seven-seater B-MPV is designed to deliver quality, comfort, and style at an excellent value. It will feature Nissan’s signature ‘Muscular Styling’, prioritizing passenger comfort and ride experience with advanced suspension and a plush interior.



Local Production Targets: 100,000 Units Annually Nissan Motor India has set a target of 100,000 units per year for domestic sales and exports in India. The company plans to manufacture these two new models at its Alliance JV Plant in Chennai.

This new strategy by Nissan focuses on providing innovative options for Indian and Nepalese customers, further strengthening the company’s market expansion.
