Jerry begins storytelling festival, my sermon with music: Jerry

Kathmandu, Babita Baniya (Jerry), who has made a name for herself as a singer, has begun the Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran Sapta Gyan Mahayagya on Tuesday. Although stakeholders are criticizing her for and against the topic of storytelling.

Jerry said that she has succeeded in gaining recognition in the field of folk singing and that it is natural for the general public to be interested and debated since she has now entered a different field.

‘Since I have gained recognition in the field of music by struggling, I have understood that many people are interested and concerned about the new work I am doing now,’ she said. ‘Rather than this specific command, I am going to give a sermon with music as a bachik after studying Shrimat Bhagavad Gita.’

She said that she is not going to perform any rituals. ‘Because there are Vedic Brahmins participating in the rituals in the Mahayagya. The part of recitation and musical storytelling is mine.

She said that her opponents have pointed out her weaknesses and will improve them and move forward and make the program a success.

The Mahayagya, where Jerry recites the story, began on Tuesday at the Mahadev Temple premises in Raniwan, Nagarjuna Municipality-1, Nagarjuna. Jerry said that there was a formal program along with a Kalash Yatra on the first day. Jerry said that the musical storytelling will begin on Wednesday. The organizers say that the Mahayagya is being held for the promotion of Vedic Sanatan Dharma and the overall physical development of the Nagbhushan Mahadev Temple premises.
