Trilateral clash in NRNA America, Kharel, Sah for president, and Anup Khanal takes over as Adhikari general secretary

The voting process for selecting the new leadership of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) USA began on Sunday. About 13,000 members of the association will vote for their preferred candidates through ballots sent via email and mobile. This time, there will be a three-way competition between Bhanu Kharel, Satendra Sah, and Ramhari Adhikari for the post of president. All three candidates were intensifying the final phase of activities to woo voters before the election. Due to the divisions, disputes, and internal dissatisfaction seen in the last term, this time the members have appeared more cautious in selecting the leadership. Dor Bahadur Bisht's documentary 'Ma Alap Huna Chahanchhu' on Kimf

 

 

Kathmandu. Dor Bahadur, who gained fame by studying and researching 21 different castes and communities of Nepal, is counted among the intellectual personalities of the country. He is famous as an anthropologist and writer.

On the second day of the 21st Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival (KIMF), a documentary film about the founder of Nepali anthropology was screened. In the 79-minute documentary directed by Sachin Ghimire and Gaurav KC, Dor Bahadur's intellectual contribution and various aspects of his private life are exposed.

Dor Bahadur, who was inclined towards social transformation along with academic work, has been mysteriously missing since 27th December 2052. He has been missing since the news that he flew from Jumla to Nepalgunj. When he was alive, Dor Bahadur would sometimes say, 'I want to disappear.'

He went to Chaudhabisa village in Jumla and did important work to raise the standard of living of the people there. Due to his contribution, Dor Bahadur lives in the hearts of the people of Jumlawasi even today. In this documentary, there have been many references to Jumlawasi being emotional about him.

In the film, apart from his family members, some foreign researchers have shed light on Dor Bahadur's habits, intelligence and private life.

"Fatalism and Develop" and "People of Nepal" written by Dor Bahadur are famous among Nepali and foreign scholars.

A significant number of filmmakers and viewers were present at the National Auditorium to watch 'Ma Alap Hun Chaunya', which was previously screened at festivals in Nepal and outside Nepal.
