  Kathmandu. The third edition of the provincial-level franchise competition, Koshi Pride League (KPL), organized by Koshi Pride Pvt. Ltd., is scheduled to be held from Falgun 9 to 21. Stating that it will be held ‘with the encouragement of the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN), CAN Secretary Paras Khadka, and the Koshi Province Cricket Association,’ KPL Director Afzal Hossain informed a press conference held in Kathmandu on Sunday that seven franchise teams will participate in the competition. According to Hossain, Namuna Blasters, Itahari Adarsh ​​Giants, Birtamod Hits, Purveli Super Kings, Everest Thunders, BN Koshi Arnas, and Gorkha Avengers will participate in the competition. Hossain also revealed the names of the owners of all seven franchise teams at the press conference. Pakistan Embassy Awards Scholarships to Nepali Students



Kathmandu June 26, 2025 Today, 13th Ambassador of Pakistan Annual Scholarship Award Ceremony was organized by Pakistan Embassy, Kathmandu at Radisson Hotel, Kathmandu. Hon. Ek Nath Dhakal, Member Parliament and Chairman, Nepal Family Party was the Chief Guest. He distributed “Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarships” to deserving Nepali students. The scholarships are awarded to the most deserving and bright Nepali students selected by the respective Principals of Schools from across Nepal. This year 195 students from 102 schools were awarded the scholarships. A laptop was also presented to a brilliant student for his consistent good performance in studies.


Speaking on the occasion, Hon. Ek Nath Dhakal lauded Pakistan for its continued technical support, especially in the field of education. This, he said, was a reflection of the close friendly ties between Pakistan and Nepal. He expressed hope that Pakistan’s support would go a long way in reminding the youth of the two countries about shared vision. He stressed the need for enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries in other areas as well.

Ambassador Abrar H Hashmi, in his remarks, said that Pakistan would continue its endeavour of scholarship programme and expanding the cooperation at all levels of education, including Higher Secondary students in Nepal. He said that today’s event was celebration of success of the students and a reflection of it being shared responsibility. Ambassador Hashmi highlighted that to encourage Nepali youth in the fields of studies, sports and healthy social activities is a vital part of our bilateral cooperation.
Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarship Programme has been regularly held since 2013, which is growing and becoming popular among Nepali youth over the years.
