"Qatar pardons 18 Nepali prisoners in a general amnesty.”



Kathmandu – The Qatari government has decided to grant amnesty to 18 Nepali prisoners on the occasion of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a press release on Monday to inform about this decision. The ministry expressed gratitude towards the Qatari government for this move.  


The ministry described the decision as a goodwill gesture based on humanitarian grounds and expressed confidence that it would further strengthen Nepal-Qatar bilateral relations. The Nepali government had made a request for amnesty through the Nepali Embassy in Doha, which was accepted by the Qatari government.
