"Eid has been promoting religious tolerance and harmony in Nepali society: Chairman Deuba"

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has stated that the sacred festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, celebrated by followers of Islam, has been promoting religious tolerance and harmony in Nepali society. Extending his best wishes on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr today, Chairman Deuba expressed his belief that the festival inspires everyone to bring peace, goodwill, and prosperity to the country.

He mentioned that Nepal is a beautiful country enriched with multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-cultural, and multi-religious characteristics, where diverse communities have their own unique traditions, religions, cultures, customs, and festivals.

“Unity in diversity is the distinct identity of Nepalis. It is our own tradition of goodwill to respect and honor each of these festivals, among which Eid-ul-Fitr is also an important celebration,” said Chairman Deuba in his congratulatory message.

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Chairman Deuba extended heartfelt greetings (Eid Mubarak) to all Muslim brothers and sisters in Nepal and abroad, wishing them happiness, peace, and prosperity.
