Kathmandu. The third edition of the provincial-level franchise competition, Koshi Pride League (KPL), organized by Koshi Pride Pvt. Ltd., is scheduled to be held from Falgun 9 to 21. Stating that it will be held ‘with the encouragement of the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN), CAN Secretary Paras Khadka, and the Koshi Province Cricket Association,’ KPL Director Afzal Hossain informed a press conference held in Kathmandu on Sunday that seven franchise teams will participate in the competition. According to Hossain, Namuna Blasters, Itahari Adarsh Giants, Birtamod Hits, Purveli Super Kings, Everest Thunders, BN Koshi Arnas, and Gorkha Avengers will participate in the competition. Hossain also revealed the names of the owners of all seven franchise teams at the press conference. Kathmandu, July 12 — Embracing originality, culture and creativity, the much-awaited Teej song ‘Kaski Chhori Hola’ sung by singer Samiksha Adhikari and singer-creator Sachin Bhattarai has recently been released globally through the Samip Entertainment YouTube channel.
While the market has been flooded with creations that violate the original culture and traditions in the name of Teej songs for the past few years, ‘Kaski Chhori Hola’ has been presented to the audience as a powerful, original and emotional Teej song. Singer Sachin Bhattarai has given the lyrics and music to the song, while the powerful voice of popular singer Samiksha Adhikari has made the song special.
The music video of the song has been prepared under the direction of Mausam Himali. The video features Sunil Neupane, Meena Bartaula, Arjun Sapkota and Juna B.C. Cinematography is by Nawaraj Upreti and editing is by Manoj Karki. The song, which is arranged by H.B.N. Kismat, clearly reflects the respect, tradition and culture of Nepali women.
As soon as the song was released, singer Sachin Bhattarai wrote on his official Facebook: “How did you like the new Teej song ‘Kaski Chhori Hola’, composed with my own lyrics and music, sung by me and Samiksha Adhikari, and performed by famous singer-model Arjun Sapkota, Sunil Neupane, Meena Bartaula and Juna Bishwakarma? The song is expected to highlight the preservation of original music, the message of women empowerment, and the cultural value of Nepali Teej. ‘Kaski Chhori Hola’ has been released with the belief that it will not only touch the hearts of the audience, but will also set a new standard for Teej songs.
Born in Gorkha and making Kathmandu his home, singer-songwriter Sachin Bhattarai is today known as a strong representative of originality, culture, and creativity in the Nepali music industry. Sachin, who started his musical journey especially with Teej songs, has now lent his voice to more than a dozen official songs and more than four dozen live duet songs. Sachin's musical journey began with the popular Teej song 'Nakkali Kanchiko Jaalma Pariyo'. After the first song became extremely popular, he continued to bring new Teej songs to the audience every year. The latest series in that continuity is 'Kaski Chhori Hola', which has recently been released on the Samip Entertainment YouTube channel.
