“Mero Katha” carrying the story of a Nepali expatriate released, deep pain in Devil’s voice

Kathmandu, July 24, 2025– Vishal, who has been active in the music industry through Hindi songs for a long time, now comes to the audience with a Nepali song called “Mero Katha”. Released through the YouTube channel “Devil Official”, this song presents the real struggle, patriotism and pain of the Nepali youth in a very emotional way.

Like Devil’s previous popular Hindi songs — soulful songs like “Baat bheja main aaya kyatera,” “Mere jaan,” “Jindagi bro”, “Mero Katha” is also a song carrying a deep message. But this song is made in Nepali language, and specifically speaks to the feelings, longing and stories of Nepali youth who have gone abroad.

The writer and artist of the song, Devil, says, “Despite loving the country, one has to go abroad out of compulsion. This pain is expressed in the song.” One line of the song says – “Love for slaves makes it a compulsion to bond, and one has to go abroad out of compulsion.”

Through this song, Devil has tried to present the country’s soil and the voice of the Nepali diaspora through music, expressing his love for Nepali art, language, and culture. He says, “‘Mero Katha’ is not just a song – it is a voice, a story, and a reflection of the Nepali mind.”

Along with Devil, the song also features collaborations with The Big OD, which makes the music more profound and meaningful.

“Mero Katha” is now available on the Devil Official YouTube channel, and has been receiving a good response from the audience since its release.
