  Kathmandu. The third edition of the provincial-level franchise competition, Koshi Pride League (KPL), organized by Koshi Pride Pvt. Ltd., is scheduled to be held from Falgun 9 to 21. Stating that it will be held ‘with the encouragement of the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN), CAN Secretary Paras Khadka, and the Koshi Province Cricket Association,’ KPL Director Afzal Hossain informed a press conference held in Kathmandu on Sunday that seven franchise teams will participate in the competition. According to Hossain, Namuna Blasters, Itahari Adarsh ​​Giants, Birtamod Hits, Purveli Super Kings, Everest Thunders, BN Koshi Arnas, and Gorkha Avengers will participate in the competition. Hossain also revealed the names of the owners of all seven franchise teams at the press conference. Mohanlal's 'Empuraan' became the highest-grossing Malayalam film."



Mumbai, April 9 Fans are thoroughly enjoying superstar Mohanlal’s latest Malayalam film, L2: Empuraan, which was recently released. The movie hit theaters on March 27, and since then, it has been breaking records every single day. Even after 12 days of its release, the film continues to dominate the box office.  


Directed by actor Prithviraj Sukumaran, the film has now created another historic milestone. On its 12th day, Empuraan set a new earnings record, officially becoming the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time. Starring Mohanlal and Prithviraj, the movie has crossed a worldwide collection of ₹250 crore as of Sunday.  


Prithviraj Sukumaran not only directed the film but also played a key role, while Mohanlal took the lead. Empuraan opened with a massive ₹65 crore worldwide, making it the biggest opener in Malayalam cinema history.



Now, after 12 days, L2: Empuraan has cemented its place as the highest-grossing Malayalam film ever. The makers and Mohanlal shared the news on social media, confirming that the film is the first Malayalam movie to cross ₹250 crore globally.


Previously, the record was held by 2024’s Manjummel Boys, which collected ₹240.5 crore worldwide. Interestingly, Empuraan has earned more from overseas markets (₹150 crore) than from India (₹100 crore so far).


On Ram Navami (Sunday, Day 11), the film collected ₹3.97 crore in India. By Monday, its total Indian box office collection crossed ₹100 crore. In just 10 days, the film had already earned ₹94.5 crore domestically.
