"Allu Arjun will be seen in a double role for the first time in his upcoming new film."

Hyderabad, 20 Chaitra. Atlee, the director known for his work with Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan, has finally finalized Allu Arjun for his new film. Reports have emerged that Atlee will feature Allu Arjun in a double role, sparking massive excitement among fans about how the star will portray dual characters.  

After years of planning, Atlee is presenting his lead actor in a double role—a technique he has previously used in films like Mersal, Bigil, and Jawan, which has now become a signature of his filmmaking.  

According to PeepingMoon, Allu Arjun’s upcoming blockbuster AA 22 will also feature him in a dual role. In this mega-scale action-packed film, Allu Arjun has agreed to play the roles of twin brothers, marking his first-ever double role in his acting career. To distinguish the characters, he will adopt two distinct looks.  

Initially, Sun Pictures planned to cast two heroes, but due to creative challenges, the script underwent significant revisions in recent months. Reports suggest that the original theme of reincarnation has been dropped, and the story will now focus solely on Allu Arjun, with him playing both lead roles.  

The producers aim to cast three leading actresses, combining talents from both North and South Indian film industries to create a true pan-India cinematic experience.  

The film is set to release on April 8, 2026, with promotional shoots expected to begin in the coming days. Principal photography will commence in August or September this year for a 2026 release.
