High-level committee Concludes election on Scheduled Date, Parallel Meeting of KC group

Kathmandu, The Badri KC faction has also organized a program on Tuesday along with the program of the high-level committee of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA). The committee has found that the program is against the Supreme Court's decision.

Badri has called founding president Upendra Mahato, former presidents Jiva Lamichhane, Bhawan Bhatta, Kumar Pant and others for discussion. It is said that the discussion was held with the intention of disrupting the general convention of the unity to be held in May despite the name of unity. However, former presidents, activists and NCC presidents who spoke at the same program of Badri have said that there is no alternative to unity. However, they said that a comprehensive discussion is necessary for the unity convention.

As per the Supreme Court's mandate, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has clearly asked to hold the general convention of the unity in May. Despite such a situation, the Badri group is still moving forward in a way that challenges the Supreme Court's mandate.

The committee has drawn attention to the dialogue organized by Dr. Badri KC on this issue, stating that it is for greater unity.

The statement said that the committee led by former president and coordinator of the ABAM committee, Dr. Shesh Ghale, has been given the responsibility of resolving the issues of the association's membership, election process and other issues and holding a unified general convention as per the Supreme Court's order dated 21 Chaitra, 2080.

The statement warned KC not to take any action against the Supreme Court's order. The statement stated that any action that violates the court's decision will not be acceptable to the committee. In addition, the committee has called on the NRNA community to participate in the unity process and cooperate in holding the general convention as per the court's order.

Similarly, it is also stated that the process of implementing the court's order through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is moving forward.

Meanwhile, Ghale has already accelerated the process of the unity general convention. He discussed this with the main organizing committee, activists and NCC presidents on Tuesday. All the activists who spoke at the meeting said that there is no alternative to holding the unity general convention on the specified date. Committee member Binod Kunwar said that the main organizing committee has concluded that the Ekta General Convention will be held on the specified date. The main organizing committee consists of about 200 people. Ghale has also called on all NRNs who are eligible to become members to join or renew their membership as soon as possible and participate in the Ekta General Convention to be held in Kathmandu on May 3-5, 2025. He also said that as the committee has now opened membership, the process of joining members has accelerated.
