Kathmandu. Although the Supreme Court on Chaitra 21 gave the responsibility to former president Shesh Ghale to hold the unity convention, the Badri KC faction has continued to be uncooperative. However, recently, after the Supreme Court's Judgment Implementation Directorate and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also wrote letters, the Badri KC group has come under pressure. However, the KC group has not stopped showing the second judgment of the Supreme Court.

Last Sunday, the Supreme Court had directed the Badri KC faction to hand over the association's office to the Ghale-led high-level committee.
The Supreme Court's Judgment Implementation Directorate sent a letter to the association on Sunday, directing the high-level committee to hand over all the office, staff administration, cash and goods, documents, and other materials for the purpose of holding new elections. The letter, signed by Janak Prasad Sharma, Director of the Judgment Implementation Directorate, also asked to comply with the directive within 7 days and inform the directorate. The letter stated that if the directive is disobeyed, a report will be submitted stating that it is disobeying the Supreme Court order and not even following the work.
Then on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent another letter and appointed an official letter and representative to hold the unity convention. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs appointed Joint Secretary Aruna Joshi as the representative on the recommendation of the Ministry of Law. The letter has been sent to both the secretariats being handled by Ghale and Badri KC. This confirms that Ghale has been granted legitimacy. According to advocates, even if one does not obey the other legally, the second decision cannot stop it as Ghale has received a mandate. Due to which there is a rift in the KC group, he says that he is a supporter.
Meanwhile, coordinator Shesh Ghale said that there is no need to argue about the unity convention anymore. He said that now is the first and last chance in the history of the association to take the association in the right direction. Therefore, saying that no one should try to challenge this opportunity, he requested everyone to make efforts and contribute to make the convention a success as it is essential.
He said, "We are working to fulfill the responsibility of the Chaitra 21 decision. This is the first and last chance in the history of the association to move the association from the derailment to the right league. Such an opportunity will not come later nor was it before. Therefore, it must be successful. There is no alternative or second opinion to it."
He also said that he was trying to fulfill the responsibility given by the court.
He also said that the NRNA international and national organizations are different autonomous organizations established according to the laws of two different countries. He said, "It is not like the center and the grassroots level between these organizations, but both organizations should work by signing a partnership. For example, the brand is the same, but the quality and identity remain the same even though the production is in different places. For example, Coca-Cola is a different company in every country. But its product is the same and the same. The association is also the same, we are in different countries but the brand is the same."
He said that the necessary work is being done to hold the elections in May and also said that the general convention will be held in Kathmandu in a grand manner by gathering as many NRNAs as possible.
On March 21, the Supreme Court had given a mandate to hold a unity convention in the NRNA dispute. Following that mandate, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had stopped the leadership of Badri KC, who was elected amid controversy from the 11th General Convention, from working. Meanwhile, last Sunday, the Supreme Court's Decision Implementation Directorate had written to the NRNA to hand over the secretariat. The ministry has also dispatched a representative.
Since the government itself has appointed representatives for the convention, there is no alternative to a unity convention, coordinator Ghale has said that all non-resident Nepalis should strive to fulfill this campaign.
