Educational materials and sports equipment have been distributed by the Nepal Masaland and Educational Materials Industry Association.

  Kathmandu - Under the special initiative of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) and former student Jeevan Tamang Si, the Nepal Masland and Educational Materials Industry Association has organized an educational materials distribution program at Mangal Devi Secondary School located in Chaap, Suryagadhi Village Ward No. 1, Nuwakot district, and distributed educational materials and sports materials to 250 student brothers and sisters. The program was presided over by the Chairman of the School Management Committee, Dinesh Tamang. The chief guest, the central president of the association, Bijendra Bikram Shah, said that the association has been distributing educational materials in various districts of the country on the occasion of its foundation day and in the same vein, educational materials were also distributed to Mangal Devi Secondary School on the occasion of its 36th day. 9th Edition of Nepal-Pakistan Friendship T20 Cricket Tournament-2024”

 

Today, “9th Edition of Nepal-Pakistan Friendship T20 Cricket Tournament-2024” was jointly inaugurated by Ambassador of Pakistan, H.E Abrar Hussain Hashmi, Mr. Binaya Raj Pandey, former President of Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and Mr. Ujjal Raj Bhandary, Deputy CEO of Himalayan Bank Limited.

Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Binaya Raj Pandey and Mr. Ujjal Raj Bhandary appreciated the Embassy for successfully organizing the event every year since 2014. They highlighted the potential of cricket and sports in bringing the youth of two countries together. They also lauded the efforts of Pakistan for promoting sports and education to enhance healthy activities amongst youth.

In his remarks, H.E Ambassador, Abrar H Hashmi said that the cricket is not just a sport, but it also serves as a platform to bring people together and fosters spirit of camaraderie and teamwork. He further stated that this event would contribute to further deepening the friendly ties between the two countries especially amongst youth. Ambassador thanked the distinguished guests, organising committee and the Himalayan Bank Limited for their support in organizing the event.

This year twelve cricket teams are participating in the nine-days event. The Tournament is scheduled to conclude on 10th March 2024. The event will be streamed live on Nepalese channel “Mithila Nepal TV”.
