Trilateral clash in NRNA America, Kharel, Sah for president, and Anup Khanal takes over as Adhikari general secretary

The voting process for selecting the new leadership of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) USA began on Sunday. About 13,000 members of the association will vote for their preferred candidates through ballots sent via email and mobile. This time, there will be a three-way competition between Bhanu Kharel, Satendra Sah, and Ramhari Adhikari for the post of president. All three candidates were intensifying the final phase of activities to woo voters before the election. Due to the divisions, disputes, and internal dissatisfaction seen in the last term, this time the members have appeared more cautious in selecting the leadership. In states with a large number of voters, like California, New York, and Texas, members have expressed expectations for the new leadership. Ticket booking for both films is now open."



Advance ticket booking has opened for the Nepali films "Ūnko Sweater" (Her Sweater) and "Jār" (The Jar), which are set to release across Nepal starting this Friday (Baisakh 26). Multiplex halls opened bookings on Tuesday evening after finalizing the show schedules. 


The largest multiplex chain, QFX, has allocated 48 shows nationwide for "Ūnko Sweater" on the first day, including 21 shows within Kathmandu alone. Similarly, QFX has assigned 24 shows for "Jār" across the country, with 13 shows in Kathmandu.  


INI Cinemas has scheduled 18 shows for "Ūnko Sweater" and 8 shows for "Jār". Meanwhile, Big Movies has allotted 5 shows for "Ūnko Sweater" and 2 shows for "Jār". Bookings have also opened in other multiplexes, while some are still preparing.  


"Ūnko Sweater", directed by Nabin Chauhan, features actors Bipin Karki, Miruna Magar, Wilson Bikram Rai, Alex Paras, Priksha Limbu, Sunil Pokhrel, Maotse Gurung, Prem Subba, Suraj Tamu, Bhavana Khapangi Magar, among others.
