The voting process for selecting the new leadership of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) USA began on Sunday. About 13,000 members of the association will vote for their preferred candidates through ballots sent via email and mobile. This time, there will be a three-way competition between Bhanu Kharel, Satendra Sah, and Ramhari Adhikari for the post of president. All three candidates were intensifying the final phase of activities to woo voters before the election. Due to the divisions, disputes, and internal dissatisfaction seen in the last term, this time the members have appeared more cautious in selecting the leadership. In states with a large number of voters, like California, New York, and Texas, members have expressed expectations for the new leadership. Emraan Hashmi shocked by the tag of 'Serial Kisser'

Mumbai. The moment you hear the name of Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi, the first image that comes to mind is that of a 'serial kisser.' However, this very tag once caused him so much trouble that he struggled to establish himself as a serious actor. In a conversation, Emraan clearly stated that from 2003 to 2012, his image was so persistently typecast that it became a label. This label started being used in the marketing of every film.

"People began using the same tag before my name," Emraan said on YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia's show. "There was a time when I wished people would take me a little more seriously. My image was so overused that it became a tag. It was even used in marketing. In every film, unnecessary additions were made based on that. And whenever my name appeared in the media, the 'serial kisser' tag would precede it."

Acknowledging his own role in creating the tag, he said, "I was the one who created it, but later I realized it also caused harm. I’m not blaming anyone else. But when you move past that phase, you want people to see your range." He added, "I’ve done different kinds of films, yet people still ask—'Wasn’t there such a scene this time?'"

"I want to show something new, but people only look for the old," Emraan said, concluding the conversation. "I’m presenting something different. I’m an actor, and my job is to play diverse roles. So why do people still want to see the same old thing?"

When asked why people crave the same old narrative, Emraan replied, "Yes, this used to make me a little angry. But now I’m at peace—it’s not a big deal for me anymore."

On the work front, Emraan will soon be seen in the war drama film Ground Zero. In this movie, audiences will witness his serious and new style.
