In April, viewers will get to watch 15 new films and web series on OTT platforms. These include Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat's Jewel Thief, R. Madhavan, Nayanthara, and Siddharth's Test, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Soha Ali Khan's Chhote 2, as well as globally popular series like Black Mirror Season 7 and You Season 5, which are set to release.
Kathmandu, March 30 – The English month of April begins this Tuesday, and during this month, viewers will get to watch 15 new films and web series on OTT platforms. These include Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat’s Jewel Thief, R. Madhavan, Nayanthara, and Siddharth’s Test, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Soha Ali Khan’s Chhote 2, as well as globally acclaimed series like Black Mirror Season 7 and You Season 5, all set for release.
Here’s the list of 15 highly anticipated films and web series releasing on OTT in April 2025:
1. Jewel Thief – Netflix (April 25)
Saif Ali Khan makes his on-screen comeback after a real-life near-fatal attack in *Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins*, produced under Siddharth Anand’s banner. This marks one of the biggest OTT releases of April. Directed by Cookie Gulati and Robbie Grewal, the film features Saif as a cunning conman, alongside Jaideep Ahlawat as a dangerous mafia boss. Kunal Kapoor and Nikita Dutta also star in this action-packed suspense thriller.
2. Test – Netflix (April 4)
Featuring powerhouse actors like Nayanthara, R. Madhavan, and Siddharth, *Test* is a Tamil film set for a direct OTT release. Directed by S. Shashikanth, the movie weaves together the interconnected lives of three individuals—a cricketer, a scientist, and a teacher—against the backdrop of a high-stakes India-Pakistan cricket match and a multi-billion-dollar scam. The film will release in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada alongside Tamil.
3. Chammak: The Conclusion – SonyLIV(April 4)
The first season of *Chammak* was praised for its gripping drama set in the world of Punjabi music. The second season promises a grander, bolder narrative, culminating in a showdown between Kala (Parambir Cheema) and the father-son duo Prateek (Manoj Pahwa) and Guru (Mohit Malik). Critics hailed the series as a "masterclass" for its intricate characters and suspenseful storytelling.
4. Chhorii 2 – Prime Video (April 11)
The 2021 horror hit Chhorii, starring Nushrratt Bharuccha, terrified audiences, and its sequel arrives four years later. This time, Soha Ali Khan joins the cast in a tale rooted in folklore, exploring supernatural forces and a mother’s battle against social evils. Directed by Vishal Furia, the film also features Gashmeer Mahajani, Saurabh Goyal, Pallavi Ajay, Kuldeep Sareen, and Hardik Sharma.
5. The Legend of Hanuman: Season 6 – Disney+ Hotstar (April 11)

6. Praveenkudu Shappu – SonyLIV (April 11)
A Malayalam black-comedy crime thriller directed by Sreeraj Sreenivasan, the film follows an investigation into a death at a fish shop. After a rainstorm traps 11 people overnight, the shop owner is found hanged by morning. The police interrogate the group to uncover the killer. Starring Subin Shahi, Basil Joseph, Chemban Vinod, Chandni Sreedharan, and Shabareesh Varma.
7. Adrishyam 2 – SonyLIV (April 4)
Adrishyam 2 – The Invisible Heroes* is a detective thriller returning for a second season after its successful debut. Pooja Gor and Eijaz Khan reprise their roles as they tackle new mysteries.
8. Kingston – Zee5 (April 4)
‘Kingston* is a Tamil supernatural-horror film that originally released in theaters on March 7. Directed by Kamal Prakash and starring GV Prakash (who received critical acclaim), the film follows a young man named Kingston in the coastal village of Thuvathur. The village has banned fishing due to mysterious events, forcing residents to depend on a drug lord, Thomas. When Thomas dares Kingston to confront his fears, he and his friends venture into the sea, facing an invisible terror.
9. The Bandsman – Amazon Prime Video (April 3)
This American action-horror web series (directed by Granger David) premieres on April 3. A spiritual successor to the 1998 TV series Brimstone, it follows a bounty hunter who returns from the dead.
10. Touch Me Not – Zee5 (April 4)
A crime drama starring Navdeep, *Touch Me Not* explores a sensitive criminal case. Producers describe it as a high-stakes mystery where uncovering the truth leads to dangerous consequences.
11. G-Twenty – Amazon Prime Video (April 10)
Patricia Riggen’s action thriller stars Viola Davis, Anthony Anderson, and Clark Gregg. Set during a terrorist takeover of the G20 summit in Cape Town, it follows the rescue mission for U.S. President Daniel Sutton.
