Nepal Festival is Being Held in The UAE

The Nepal Festival is scheduled to be held at Creek Park Dubai on 20 April 2025 with the slogan “Celebration of Nepali Art, Culture, Sports, Trade, Tourism and Nepali Identity”. The festival, organized under the patronage of the Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi and organized by the Nepal Association-NRNA NCC UAE and Nepali Society UAE, Nepal Tribal Federation UAE, Federation of Nepali Journalists UAE Branch, various active ideological institutions and organizations, district and regional organizations, ethnic, regional, religious and class organizations, is expected to attract around 15,000 Nepalis and foreign visitors, according to the organizers. His Excellency Tej Bahadur Chhetri, Ambassador of the Nepali Embassy in Abu Dhabi, has said that this is a festival planned for Nepal and Nepalis.
Ambassador Chhetri said that the festival will play an important role in the promotion and dissemination of Nepali food, handicrafts and tourist areas of Nepal, reflecting the art, culture and costumes of Nepal.
At the Nepal Festival preparation and progress report and interaction program held in Dubai yesterday, Ranjita Dahal, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Nepali Embassy in the UAE, expressed her commitment to leave no stone unturned to make the festival a success and suggested maintaining financial transparency.
The festival will feature costumes reflecting the originality of Nepal, including Bhusa, and will be inaugurated by comedian and announcer Sandeep Chhetri, actress and model former Miss Nepal Narmata Shrestha, and singer Shanti Shree Pariyar, Arjun Sapkota, Chakra Bam, Alina Chauhan, Bam Bahadur Karki, model and dancer Asmita Ranpal, and a concert by Kavya Band, said Bikash Shahi, coordinator of the main organizing committee. Shahi said that the highest peak of Nepal, Mount Everest, the birthplace of Buddha, and tourist areas in Nepal will also be shown through videos, which will help promote Nepal's tourism. Ram Moktan, president of Nepali Society, UAE, said that this program was organized for Nepal and Nepalis, who belong to everyone in the festival.
The program, which is under the patronage of the Nepali Embassy, is a proud event for Nepal and Nepalis, and the role of all organizations and institutions is important, and all kinds of financial, physical and moral support will be provided to make the program a success, informed Ekendra Bahadur Thapa, Treasurer of Nepal Business Council, UAE and member of the main organizing committee.
The program, which was held on Sunday, was attended by heads and representatives of more than 50 organizations active in the UAE. The program was addressed by Manoj Gorkhali, Secretary of the International Coordination Council of the Non-Resident Nepali Association, Bhuwani Prasad Timilsina, President of the Public Relations Committee, UAE, Laxman Khanal, President of the People's Progressive Forum, UAE, Baburam Sapkota, President of the Non-Resident Nepali Association, UAE, Thakur Prasad Dhungana, Past President and Patron of the Non-Resident Nepali Association, UAE, Bikram Limbu, President of the D.N.I.G. The program, chaired by Nepal Association-NRNA NCC UAE President Bikash Shahi, was conducted by General Secretary Bhuwan Kumar Wagle. Businessmen and heads of various organizations announced financial support at the program.
