The voting process for selecting the new leadership of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) USA began on Sunday. Human Limbu has been elected as the president of Nepal Safe Society UAE.


UAE – World-renowned Nepali pastry and bakery chef Human Prasad Limbu has been elected as the president of Nepal Chef Society UAE.

The gathering held in Dubai on Monday in the special presence of the central president of the International Nepali Chef Society, Arun Adhikari, paid farewell to the outgoing president Uddhav Shrestha and welcomed the newly appointed president Limbu and the new executive committee members.

At the event, central president Arun Adhikari wished the newly elected executive committee a successful tenure. He said that the goal is to integrate Nepali chefs around the world, promote Nepali cuisine, contribute to improving food quality, and provide institutional support to the personality development of Nepali chefs.

The newly appointed president Limbu expressed his commitment that the new executive committee will protect the rights and interests of the chef community and promote Nepali cuisine at the international level.


*Who is the newly appointed president Human Limbu?


Born in the remote hill village of Wasmeri, Panchakanya-3, Chhathar, Tehrathum district, Nepal, Human Limbu began his culinary journey at the age of 10, learning traditional cooking techniques from his grandfather and mother. He later completed his higher education at Tribhuvan University, Nepal, before specializing in pastry and bakery at Le Notre Paris. His career began when he joined the pre-opening team at Sofitel Hotel JBR Marina in Dubai. Since then, he has worked with some of the world’s most prestigious luxury hospitality brands, including Accor Hotels Group, Starbud Hotels, Marriott Hotels Group, Atlantis Hotels Group, Hilton Hotels Group and Dorchester Collection. With over 20 years of experience, Limbu has been instrumental in establishing 17 five-star luxury hotels and developing two confectionery manufacturing companies in the Middle East. His expertise lies in high-end pastry production. From large hotel operations to boutique pastry shops and international brands, his expert services have been used by many.


Additionally, Human Limbu is the first Nepali citizen to receive a Golden Visa in the Middle East as a professional Pastry and Bakery Chef, granted by the Dubai Government. His management excellence was recognized when he was named Manager of the Year at the prestigious St. Regis Hotel. His relentless pursuit of excellence and advanced approach to boulangerie and patisserie have made him a highly respected name in the global culinary industry. Limbu’s achievements are not limited to the kitchen alone but also beyond. He was instrumental in the success of Bonbon Café by Angelo Musa at Lana Dubai, Dorchester Collection. It was awarded the World’s Best Pastry Shop Opening by La Liste 1000 in 2024. He was also nominated for the Best Pastry Chef of the Year by Pro Chef Middle East in 2020. Currently working at the Dorchester Collection, Limbu was also recognized as the Best Bakery Chef in the Middle East 2024 by NL International Hospitality Group.
