Trilateral clash in NRNA America, Kharel, Sah for president, and Anup Khanal takes over as Adhikari general secretary

The voting process for selecting the new leadership of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) USA began on Sunday. About 13,000 members of the association will vote for their preferred candidates through ballots sent via email and mobile. This time, there will be a three-way competition between Bhanu Kharel, Satendra Sah, and Ramhari Adhikari for the post of president. All three candidates were intensifying the final phase of activities to woo voters before the election. Due to the divisions, disputes, and internal dissatisfaction seen in the last term, this time the members have appeared more cautious in selecting the leadership. "Eid has been promoting religious tolerance and harmony in Nepali society: Chairman Deuba"



Kathmandu. Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has stated that the sacred festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, celebrated by followers of Islam, has been promoting religious tolerance and harmony in Nepali society. Extending his best wishes on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr today, Chairman Deuba expressed his belief that the festival inspires everyone to bring peace, goodwill, and prosperity to the country.  


He mentioned that Nepal is a beautiful country enriched with multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-cultural, and multi-religious characteristics, where diverse communities have their own unique traditions, religions, cultures, customs, and festivals.  


“Unity in diversity is the distinct identity of Nepalis. It is our own tradition of goodwill to respect and honor each of these festivals, among which Eid-ul-Fitr is also an important celebration,” said Chairman Deuba in his congratulatory message.  


On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Chairman Deuba extended heartfelt greetings (Eid Mubarak) to all Muslim brothers and sisters in Nepal and abroad, wishing them happiness, peace, and prosperity.
